The Youth2000 project is conducted by The Adolescent Health Research Group (AHRG) at the University of Auckland with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of New Zealand's young people. The group aims to provide accurate and timely information that parents, schools, people working in health and education and policymakers can use to improve the health and wellbeing status of all young people in Aotearoa New Zealand. The first national health and wellbeing survey of secondary school students was completed by the AHRG in 2001 followed by the second survey in 2007. A third survey is being undertaken in 2012. The results have been documented in a number of reports and published papers which can be found under Publications on this site.
